What is a good keyboard to buy?

Asked By: Anonymous
I am exchanging my 61 key keyboard this weekend($350), except I dont know exactly what to look for, i have an 88 key in mind, because i am beginner will this in any way halt my learning due to trying to adapt to more keys? I am willing to pay an extra $150 on top of my 61 key $350 I notice my keyboard does not have that end ring that a piano does when the keys are played, What brands should i look for that include this effect? thanks in advance, cheers

Theatre schools in California?

Asked By: manoshopefully
Would it be a better idea to go to a school in Los Angeles or any part of California in order to pursue a career in film acting? I know there's Julliard and NYU but i feel as though there's a greater chance to do Broadway rather than film, which is what i am more interested in. Any great schools in California?

How to get better at the violin, without an instructor?

Asked By: Pockets
I'm currently a first year college student, and I don't really have money to spend on a private tutor or anything that sort. I understand to to get better and to excel at the violin, one must practice practice practice. But what do I practice? I occasionally take out my violin to freestyle and whatnot. But I also noticed that my range of notes don't go very far at all, and at times I feel my tunes are a bit folkish like the music I once played in elementary and middle school. Not that folk music is bad. I want to learn how to play in a european style; old and elegant. I understand that to get to that point I must practice a lot. But where do I start? I would like a private tutor, but at this time in my life, I cannot afford one. And as well, at this point in my life, I feel like music will really help me express what I feel, yet I can't get the music in my head to flow in my bow and strings.

Best guitar for beginner?

Asked By: The Super
What is the best guitar for beginners? Also, what are the different sizes? I am petite but all of the smaller ones I seem to find are made for kids. Do they make smaller guitars for adults? I don't need anything fancy, just something to help me get started, but I don't want one that I'll have to replace the strings right away because of the sound quality. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
