I heard that if you test postive for TB then you can't work in a hospital and school setting even if the chest x-rays say that you are fine? How does it all work? I just got my TB shot and it swelled up. I'm pretty sure they will take X-rays of my chest to see what's goin on but my parents already told that I've done the chest x-ray and it will show that I am fine. On the other hand, my friend told me that by just getting the bump from the shot is enough that the hospital won't take you. Is there any truth to that? I thought I found a great job but I'm worried that I might not get it because of this. Please tell me what you know or have experienced.
I accepted a job making $33,000. The salary range for the job is $29,545-$37,000. The manager called me with a offer of $33,000. I accepted quickly, because I make $24,000 in my current job and I jumped on that quick..the salary is great but... This job is in Alpharetta, Ga (I live in Macon, Ga). and cost of living is pretty high there. I am looking to pay $800-$900 for rent. I also have credit card debt. Is it wrong to ask for $35,000 after I have accepted this job? How could I negotiate? Or is it better to just find a part time evening job as a 2nd job?
The first question he asked was 'tell me about yourself'. So one of the things I said was what my age is. I later found out it's illegal for them to ask me that. Is that true?
I am considered a 3/5ths employee (I pay more than a FT employee for my benefits) and am only required to work 24 hours a week. (I usually am scheduled for 30 hours a week and work that.) My question is this: Can I get paid overtime for working an unexpected shift? (I have also been offered a "Bonus" shift check as bribe for coming in.) I'm a mommy and need to pay extra now for daycare. Any advice or info. would be greatly appreciated.
