I've tried multiple ways to stop the snoring that I've 'inherited' from my father's side, and I find that the snoring wakes me up in the middle of the night, and sometimes it stops me from breathing. I have tried sleeping on my stomach, on my side, and even going to bed when I'm not so tired! Help...
OK, Im a respiratory therapist working in home care. I have a patient who is not wearing her O2 because she says it feels uncomfortably cold to her and she has sinus issues(prev surg, etc) and using the O2 is causing her pain in her sinuses, ear and lower jaw. I have never run into this before! The internet is offering nothing. I don't think she's imagining it. She seems quite with it!! She's only on a flow of 2lpm, so a mask is out. She's been patted on the head and told she's stuck with the situation. I'd like to help. Any ideas???
I have bad headaches in the morning and runny nose, too. I'd like to get it checked out by a doctor. What kind of specialist should I go to see?
Thanks
What's the average CPAP pressure for a 300-pound woman? Mine is at 8, which used to be fine, but I've gained (a lot of) weight the past 2 years. I find that even with the pressure of 8, my mouth opens during sleep, and I wake up with a sore throat. I do not have the money to undergo another sleep study.
