It drives and has an all original 305 H.O. that cranks up and runs but then a few minutes later the motor will shut off. Does this have something to do with the carb? Do I need to clean the carb? Also Im getting ready to do a tune-up to change spark plugs, wires, and add LUCAS fuel treatment into the gas to clean the valvles and carb
What is your opinion on this 3 gen. car..I am going to buy one from my dad for 3k only has 42k orig. miles...How could you tell if it a 305 0r a 350..since only 50 350 where made as an experiment...I might just have one and not even know it ..it has posee traction ,so is that a good sign of a 350?.. Whats the up and downs of owning a Z28?..thanks for your reply..Alex
Cruise control stopped working about a year and a half ago and now the turn signals stopped working and there are a couple of wires hanging out of the hole around the turn signal lever.
My 2003 4.3 Chevy S-10 is equipped with a 4L60E transmission. I know what that means, 4= 4 forward speeds, L= longitudily mounted (rear wheel drive), 60= strength rating and E= electronically computer controlled. NOW... here's my question, what does that translate to in terms of how much HP and torque it can withstand? i have seen conversion kits to upgrade it from a 4L60E to a 4L80E. What is the difference between the 60 and the 80? I'm trying to determine whether or not I want to rebuild my current tranny with a shift kit OR just swap it out with an already upgraded model. If I choose to rebuild it, how much can i expect to pay for the labor involved? Parts excluded.
