As a probation officer, what are your hours?

Asked By: jane
Do probation officers have to work evenings and weekends in most jurisdictions? Are the shifts 12 hours, 10 hours or 8 hours? Is the schedule set, or do all the officers rotate weekends/evenings, etc?

Why is the Yahoo "Abuse Squad" so lame?

Asked By: A_Patriot
Seems more like the "political correctness" or "anti-original thinking" squad than the "abuse" squad. Or do they call it the "abuse" squad because they always abuse users? (And themselves??)

Appeared to court at specified time; court house was closed.?

Asked By: runnergrl22
I received a speeding ticket and was given a court date in IN at 4am. Since I am not a resident of IN, I got a hotel room the night before. I appeared at the specified time to find out they were closed. Is it possible to have the court reduce the fine to compensate for the costs incurred for booking the hotel room?

Is hiring a PRIVATE DETECTIVE in 2007 a bit passe` with the INTERNET available now to the average person?

Asked By: Middy S
In old Movies and TV shows, a frequentyly used storline would have someone hiring a Privite Eye to find a missing person. So, considering all these for hire search engines used to locate people, is hiring a P.I. to look for a missing person a bit passe because he would just use the same tools that anyone can use who knows how to use the internet? Curious as I want to find an most likely still living Army pal of my Uncle, and the free search engines come up empty and I suspect the ones you pay for would probably come up empty as well.

I am 21 years old. and got an under 21 - BAC 0.02 less 0.08?

Asked By: Anonymous
Hi, what happened was that I got pulled over by a cop here in Kansas, and gave me a ticket for "under 21 - Bac .02 less .08" Do you think that I'm gonna have a tough time to get a trucking job because of this? This happened in 2005 when I was under 21, now I'm 21. Is not a DUI, isn't? can I do something to erase it from my record? Thanks you so much, have a nice day!! Thanks to Trophy Wife and Kerfitz for answering before, I changed the question.
