how can i get my new playstasion 2 to play burned games and moves?

There is something called a mod chip or an X-chip?? Something along that line, im not entirely positive, but im pretty sure it allows u to play burned games. One way to get games is to buy an external hard drive and a network adapter (only works with the older ps2, not the slim version). The network adapter allows u to use the hard drive in conjunction with the ps2. Then there is a program called hard drive advance, which allows u to store rented games (or friend's games) on the hard drive. This means there is no use for a disc, but u can play it saved from your hard drive. If u need help, people at gamestop or eb-games are very helpful in cases like this.

the only way that works for me is when i burn a game to a dvd, just try that.

it cant you would have to modify the disc reader to play game and dvd rewrites, or burned games and cds

I dont think you can, however you can play dvd's on it.
