Call a print shop, or do it yourself. Get into graphic arts for the fun and simple things. You can start by using the Paint program on windows. Learn some that that through the help feature. Then you can get other programs as Coreldraw and photo shop to get more creative.
It's actually fun as a hobby, so it's worth learning.

If you have no experience creating logos you should just find a unique font (Type face, Letters) you like and type it in a way that looks nice.
I suggest going to a website like www.dafont.com and downloading a unique font that fits your organizations personality. Install the font on your computer and it should be usable in any program that uses type. Use your font for the organizations name and use a plain font for any sub-text.
This is a do it yourself approach. If you've got money do the logobob thing. The only place you'll find a cheaper logo is contracting a college student to make one.

Do you have an artistic family member or friend. I mean honestly artistic. If so get them to do it. It will save you a lot of money compared to hiring a company to do it. I know this works as I have done it myself and so has my father. Write down your ideas for your logo, what point or affect you want your logo to get across. Then talk to your "artist" they will give you their ideas and sketches you then edit it from there. This is stuff you would have to do with a professional anyways. If you still are not happy oh well no money spent right.
