Are rising temps in the northeast the beginnings of the road to Spring?

After about 3 weeks of bitter arctic cold in the northeast, we are finally seeing a rising trend in temperatures, into the 30's and low 40's. Does this mean that the jet stream/weather pattern has changed and that we are seeing the beginnings of some Spring-like weather? Is the arcitc miserableness gone for good or could we still see some nasty temps in our near future?

temperatures bottom out in America as a average in mid to late January. Everything after could be called the road to spring. Of course spring is a subjective term considering the clash of the seaons, 80 one day, 40 the next ect.

No, but this is the time of the year where storms do get nasty. Yes, the warm up you're seeing is a sign that Spring is a put.
