To some degree their ancestrial paths do intertwine.
The spanish invaded many parts of the world, including phillipines and latin american, south american and carribean islands. There were different tribes of indians through out the world and when the spanish invaded those countries they intermarried. Case in point, Puerto Rico's inhibatants were arawak indians, when the spanish arrived they brung slaves with them, the spaniards, indians, and africans all intermarried....They now make up todays Puerto Rican ancestry.

What? What Latin Americans has to do with indians? Is there anything that Latin America is alike India? And also the only thing Latin Americans have to with people from Phillipnes is that both are mainly catholics.
Latin Americans descents from Europeans, Africans and Native Americans, no Indians or Phillipines.

All native Americans are descended from Asians. Their ancestors came to the Americas via the land bridge between Siberia and Alaska that no longer exists.
The filipinos are, of course, Asian.
