Ok, now if the pope knows about ALL cases of paedophilia involving priests?

the Pope is not the one who moves priests, it's the local bishops. The pope is not aware of everything every bishop does. He relies on them to do their job properly. When they don't the Pope expects them to correct the situation. They would do so at the level of their country, so that they have a mechanism for governing themselves. I don't think the Pope really understood the depth of the problem because he couldn't really believe that priests - or anyone - would do that. In the old country if someone touched a child like that he would be dealt with very seriously, priest or not. He couldn't believe that Americans would let priests get away with it. he was wrong, and maybe relied too much on bad info and advice. But he did act eventually.

When an organization is put above the interests of the individuals then things like this flourish. " The church must survive above all else and if that means some kids are hurt or emotionally and physcially destroyed in the process then so be it. They will be given a good place in Heaven." This was what I was told by an elderly catholic person who attends a catholic church in my area. No wonder I am no longer christian. Blessed Be.

The didn't know, the pope didn't move the priests. The pope isn't head of certain churches bishops are the pope is the head of Rome and the church. Bishops are the larders of their own churches they say what goes. Those bishops who did help paedophile priest move around have been charged.

those who harmed the children are being prosecuted andthose involvedin the cover up are as well. the pope had nothing to do with the individual cases or placement.
