How come my teacher acts like this?

My female teacher gets mad if I talk to someone in class. When I try talking to her, she barely talks to me, but doesn't want me talking to anyone. I'm her assistant and I go around helping people, and once I was helping this girl and boy and she told me to go sit down. But everyone else can talk to each other, but she never likes if someone talks to me. She's always staring at me. She's nice to me every other time though. She never lets me go outside of the classroom, not even to leave 5 minutes earlier. Once we were doing classwork on a blanket in class, and I was laying down on my stomach, and she was looking at me for some reason. We were standing outside because of a bomb threat and she walked away from a group of teachers and she threw her arms in the air and looked at me. I've known her for over a year.

you said you are her assistant so that means you do what she needs. saying you are an assistant implies that you are not a student but a teacher's aide. usually in my experience this doesnt mean you talk to students in her class or try and help them unless she wants you too. she may stare at you and always check to see what you're doing because of past habits of talking to students. in california teachers can not let students leave early. if you were to leave 5 minutes early and for some freak accident something happens to you she can be in trouble for that. she must have motives to throw her hands up in the air like she did but there are not enough details to explain that action. you should sit down calmly after school and discuss the issue.

Maybe your teacher just thinks your special. Try looking at her in a different way. Try talking to her. Be brave. Say: hi i need to ask u something. why do u always have your eyes on me and why do you always think that i'm the bad one? Sound desperate and annoyed at some points. leave her a not if you are not brave enough. Talk to your peers for advice or.........change yoour teacher! but try to adjust with who you have! good luck!

Sounds like she has a "crush" on you. All that staring sounds creepy. You can either ask her "what's up?", leave it alone and hope things change, or bug out. Do whatever feels most right to you--you're the one in the situation. Good Luck

your teacher sounds like a nut job. try talking to her and bring your concerns to her attention. or ask her to clarify her expectations of you as an assistant so you know where your boundaries are and when not to cross them. i'm a teacher too and my student aides basically get the run of the class. i only need them to do work occasionally and the rest of the time they can do as they please so long as they don't disrupt my other students from doing their work.

Wierd...suggest moving to a different school; this teacher and you will never get along. Cut your losses and move on. Good luck and best wishes in your teaching career.
