No, because it is so sad how humans treat each other. Back in the '40's people in Bangladesh were starving to death by the millions; the last time I checked, people in Bangladesh were still starving to death by the millions. Think of Hitler. Think of Saddam. All of these are bad, but, remember, all people do wicked things, just not so wicked/bad. But, not knowing how bad things are, one can not think about it and try to be happy, but if one knew how bad everyone is, it would be so sad.

The more I know, the more cynical I become. Knowledge is what empowers people, but I'd think it would become unmanageable, frustrating, and undesirable to know everything. How could one handle the enormous pressure and responsibilty? What would one strive for?

There are no such things as answers in the universe, just questions. As we try to get closer to the answers, the amount of questions exponentially rise. Plus you probably don't even know if you know everything. It's all in your perspective.

Real knowledge is not in the curriculum of any institute of higher learning.Happiness is a transient state. The burden of excess knowledge is too heavy for the ego to bear, when most who learn the meaning inside meaning, try to assimilate it and reconcile it to "objective" reality.Zen adepts cultivate dispassion and destruction of the ego for this reason.

Sorry - I don't see the connection. I know 1+2=3, that doesn't make me particularly happy. I know airplanes fly, that doesn't make me particularly happy, either.

No - there's some things I'm sure I wouldn't want to know and some things we aren't meant to know - I would also hate to miss out on learning and experiencing new things and being able to pass down that knowledge

I am happy and I only have small fraction of all possible knowledge. The two are not necessarily connected.
