D@mn You peoplez.. She did not ask if New Orleans is still flooded...
She's askin IF OTHER people around the US think its still flooded..
.. I wouldn't doubt it.. there prob are ppl who think that. The media screws up the stories so bad.. thats 1 thing i hate about the US. I've met some people from up north who thought New Orleans was completely brazil is nothing but junglgone .. or that..no traffic lights work. A few others think people are still looting like crazy.. and the most common impression they have.. is that the city is completely abandoned. I hate the media.. they only show the bad side of things.. then they dont even show the whole story ! and you're right.. every single person that is enterviewed is the BIGGEST HICK.. with no teeth.. and a horrible accent of improper english. The media also does this with other nations.. except those in relation to the US.
They make americans thing that the middle east is nothing but terriorists.. that all of africa is nothing but elepants and people living in huts.. and the Irish drink beer all day ect.
Why dont you try asking this question under some other cities and see what kind of responses you get .. I would probably read them if i thought i wouldn't get P!SSED off..

NO, New Orleans is NOT still flooded, but people in other parts of the country probably DO still think that because of the stupid media. The media outside New Orleans always portrays New Orleans in the most negative light possible, especially since Katrina. The only exception has been the recent live broadcast of the Regis and Kelly show. I for one am totally fed up with the negative press the city gets---we get more negative press than anyplace else on the face of the earth!

all the wear finished to the levees with the aid of Katrina has been repaired and the levee device is getting a $14 Billion improve. the components that brought about the flooding of the city-appropriate have been addressed with the aid of the advancements already finished. in spite of the panic, the final problem for Gustav isn't the capability of the levees. Gustav isn't yet another Katrina and NOLA isn't threatened with disaster from yet another record-breaking hurricane surge. notwithstanding, the city's drainage device became badly broken with the aid of Katrina and is only in part repaired, so rain-water flooding is a genuine possibiliy. with regards to rebuilding, there has been huge progression in view that 2005, yet there is likewise quite a number of paintings nonetheless to be finished. State and local government forms + incompetence have not helped. We elected a clean Governor in 2007 and gets a clean Mayor in 2010. we are hoping the two one among them would be greater advantageous than Blanco and Nagin. The metro section's inhabitants became some million,4 hundred,000 on the time Katrina struck and it somewhat is expected to be between a million, 250,000 and a million,3 hundred,000 now. The absent each physique is from the city of latest Orleans, Saint Bernard parish, and Plaquemines Parish - that have been the areas of the mero section that have been flooded the worst. most of the city of latest Orleans has been repaired and additionally you're able to desire to look frustrating to be certain that Katrina occurred in any respect. countless neighborhoods that have been flooded the worst are nonetheless suffering to get well - which incorporate Lakeview (the place I lived), Gentilly, the decrease ninth Ward, and New Orleans East. for my section, it wil take until eventually 2015 (10 years after Katrina) for brand spanking new Orleans to completely get well. desire us nicely.

No. I work for a national firm and we've had two meetings in New Orleans over the past year...well one meeting in Metarie and the second at Harrahs.
It's not the same as before Katrina, but we expect any recovery of this magnitude will take years to rebuild.
