How would people react to the end of the world really?

If we found out we ALL had one year to live before an asteroid struck the earth. Would we all go through the 5 stages of grief? would there be riots? would everyone have sex and do drugs with each other? would people go all poetic and wistfull (like a certain fake regular here?) and gain a perspective of pure clarity on existance? would we all go religious, or all blame god, or what?

THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO WAIL AS THEY LIKE THIS WORLD BEST Rev.1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. THE WORLD WITH SATAN IN IT OR THE WORLD WITH JESUS IN IT? The end of this world is all about the holy angels putting Satan and the 1/3 unholy angels out of power for 1000 years, Satan is put in a pit Rev.20:1-6,12,13; The heavenly are with Jesus for the new heavens Rev.3:12; 2Pet.3:13; Now that world is over, no more cemeteries, hospitals, nursing homes, drug stores, doctors offices, churches, funeral homes or coffins, and some seas will be gone to give more land. Rev.21:1-5; All is made as new as before Eden. The earthly for the new earth and all perfect remains after the 1000 years. Eph.2:7; 3:21; The world with Jesus is without end. John 3:16; 17:3;

Most people wouldn't believe it since a scientist probably found the asteroid. They would ignore it saying that God would never send an asteroid towards earth or that God would save earth. Take global warming...while not on quite as short a time table...it will cause massive damage to ecosystems. This will result in food shortages, energy shortages, etc. Guess what we are doing about it...nothing.

i know for sure that we would all be great, not even knowing we had a year to live. i mean seriously, we would all be obsessing like saying "okay. i've got 190 days, 23 hour, 6, minutes, 2 seconds till i die.some would go like"k we're going to die in one year....k" or "well we are going to die anyways.". some would actually try to do the most extreme stuff while we would be alive. and to all those questions you asked. 1. not all of us would but, most of us would go through it. 2.i think it really won't matter if we do riots. we will actually die anyways. 2. depends. if we were all adults or something. 3.again it depends on who you are 4.some would blame god, hopefully not. and most would pray to god while we are actually alive.

Yes, and yes! People's true nature would come out. When they are faced with an irrevocable dead-line like that they would do all of the things you mention in your question, each according to their nature. Some would try to find a way to survive. They would design underground shelters for whole populations. The shelters would have thermal energy from the Earth's center, they would have filtered air passages, and some way to grow plants without having direct sunlight. --

You would like to think that there would be some human change in everyones exsistance. Most people would go about their day as if nothing is happening. Not many would believe what was happening. There would deffinatley be riots everywhere for a bit. Alot more televangelist also.

I think a little bit of all those things. There may be a major breakdown in society, with lawlessness and riots. Would suck if the meteor didn't hit after all but the whole world was destroyed anyway!

I think most of us would go on with our lives, hoping that the space agencies would be able to somehow change the trajectory of that asteroid, something that is entirely possible, as long as the US government keeps out of it!

Rather irrelevant as to how we'd react? Human beings and other species may disappear but the Earth will exist long after we're gone.
