I have a nose piercing and it was a little sore for a few days. Make sure to keep your hands off of it except when cleaning it. Follow the directions you were given. Have your piercer look at it if you get to worried. They should be able to tell you if you need to be seen by the doc.

well mine was sore for about a week after dont worry its going to be really it is with most piercings. as with most piercings clean it with sea salt water every day just mix some sea salt into some boilin water wait for it to cool a bit dip your finger in and taste it it should be about as salty as crisps are dip a cotton wool pad into it and hold it to your nose for around five minutes this should take the swelling down also do this if it starts to get infected its worth the hassle cause it clears it up quickly ps. ignore the peoples saying its not meant to be like that dont worry itll be fineee! :)

Someone suggested you put alcohol on it, DON"T. You aren't suppose to put alcohol on any piercing. It will be sore and red for quite a while, it's a wound so don't worry about it. Just clean it properly and don't touch it and you should be fine.

It's only been 3 days. It's fine. Do not use rubbing alcohol. It dries out your piercings and will make it worse. Just keep following your piercer's instructions and you'll be fine. Remember, your nostril is cartilage. It takes longer to heal than other piercings.

Don't put alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on it. Use a .9% pure saline solution (usually found in the band-aide isle with a brand name like "Wound Wash") or make your own solution by combining 4 teaspoons of sea-salt (non-iodized salt) with a gallon of warm water.

Yes it will be sore and red for a while. Just keep turning it around throughout the day and make sure your hands are clean when you do it.

Well not really. Put rubbing alcohol on it and wait a few days. If it gets worse take the ring out you might be allergic to the metal.

No, I would use alchohol on it liberally for a couple of days and if that doens' help then call the doctor asap.
