Help.......2002 Grand Caravan Transmission problem,v6?
I was driving my van today when suddenly I was forced to slam the brakes and come to a complete stop;It was snowing and very slippery.when I tried to accelerate again I notice that the car was pulling to the right, and it was making a noise from the transmission. It sounds like metal scrapping against metal. The traction contol light kept coming on and off, and the car will not shift into 2nd gear now and the noise is still there, when I change gears......There are no check engine lights.
What could it be?The van has 82,000 miles on it?could it be the speed sensor?
the brakes feel weird now also.If I come to a quick stop the car will hesitate.

this is not a simple problem to explain, it could be your ABS system or a sensor could have gotten disconnected from the tranny as it is electronically controlled or it could be the tranny itself, hard to say without looking at it. I would take it to a shop that you trust and have them diagnose it. That would be your best bet.

it could be a brake problem when you apply your brakes.. does the noise get loud? or it is in the transmission.. the clutch bands in side of it are not releasing.. witch case will make a shimmy bang when you go to stop.. the transmission is stuck in one grear.. i once tryed to rebuild a transmission in my bed room in the winter time.. be cause i had no money to get it fixed.. it was for a dodge mini van.. when i did drive it.. i didnt set the bands right.. and it did the same symtems as you have.. get your tranny checked and brake

You may have a damaged CV joint that is out of line have it checked before other damage happens.
