is it true that in japan it is not polite to blow ur nose???

It's not just Japan, it also consists of Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and most of Asia. It's kind of like....sneezing and coughing at the dinner table without covering you mouth in front of guests in America. It's considered very unmannerly to that there.

What is not polite and what is actually done varies. Personally, I find it much more annoying standing near a person with a cold that sniffs every 20 seconds on the button for an entire 30 minute train ride. Of course, you can spend the time doing some math and try to figure out how many sniffs there will be until your stop.

Yes it is not polite and decent for ladies and gentlemen to blow and/or pick one's nose, belch, fart, yawn, sneeze, hiccup, spit, puke, piss, **** face to face in public in Japan. You must leave to dressing room or bathroom to do before or excuse your rude after for attendants in the worst case.

yes but i try to avoid it anywhere not just japan

it is true for everywhere that i know of, u should also not spit on the ground, in some places u can be arrested for spitting

i don't know but it sure would be rude to talk to people with snot hanging out of your nose.
