You need to phrase your question better. The left doesn't like the religious right because they don't understand the need for separation of church and state. Their beliefs are keeping human beings from being treated equally for example: gay rights. The muslims in this country are not shoving their beliefs down everyone's throats like Christians are. The left also doesn't like the religious right because they believe that the freedom of religion only applies to Christians and not other religions. The religious right thinks that other religions are evil. In my opinion,I think all religions just suck Edit: 9/11 was not the fault of American muslims. It was because of 2% of the entire muslim population who were evil and did not like the ways of the Western world. My problem is that people like you seem to think that ALL muslims are like that when in fact they're not.

I think you are confused. The left are not particularly concerned with the religious right. Quite frankly except for a view extreme ministers the religious right have had very little to say lately. Your details are confusing. You should re-write them. They seem to be saying that the left won't let anyone make fun of the religious right... I should think that was a good thing for the right. Why are you complaining? What evidence do you have that the left "let Muslims do as they please"? None, I'm guessing. This is America. Every religion is free to do as they please so long as they don't infringe upon others.

I am not sure I understand your question. What do you mean, "they wont let any one make fun of them or even judge thier actions"? The Left is generally in favor of freedom of religion and separation of church and state. The religious right wants to make their religion something like the official state religion, and only believes in freedom of religion for themselves.

The left doesn't "let" anyone do anything. But if you must know most of us do have more of a problem with the Christian Religious Right because they are the one's who seem out to control our lives and get us into some kind of religious war.

I don't care what anyone believes. I believe there are water and tree gods and if you don't do right by them, you will be punished when you go golfing. I would bet my bottom dollar the left could care less about my statement. I find my problems stem from the right not accepting my right to believe what I want and not to believe in their christian god. What I actually get from your question is religious intolerance.

I can't stand the religious right. They want to legislate morality and force everyone to live according to their mythological fairytale religion. They oppose gay rights and stem cell research because "God doesn't approve." And I'm not just talking about Christians here. I hate extremely devout people of any religion. I especially can't stand Islam because it promotes hatred and violence.

American Muslims aren't out to control every aspect of my life like the religious right is. If the religious right ever recognizes the secular nature of our government, that they and they alone don't get to call all the shots, no one will be care about them.

In America, Fundamentalist Christians have a long history of attacking the Constitution so that they can force their beliefs and lifestyle upon every American. They have been trying to amend and rewrite the US Constitution since 1863 because they hate the fact that the democratic republic created by America’s Founding Fathers was the first 100% secular government in human history. There is not a single mention of God, Jesus, or Christianity in the US Constitution; the Founding Fathers voted God out—intentionally. The following was unanimously passed by the 1797 US Congress and signed into law by President John Adams: •“As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion, …” http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/diplomacy/barbary/bar1796t.htm When not trying to force their God into the Constitution—and the lives of every American—Conservative Christians try to amend the Constitution for pathetic non-issues like gay marriage and flag burning—while they oppose any amendment guaranteeing equal rights to all Americans. Further, they are at war against science, education, and knowledge. They want to expel science from our public schools and replace it with the mythology and folktales of illiterate Bronze and Iron Age goat herders. They are the real threat to America (far more than a bunch of pissed-off Muslims) because they want to replace America’s Constitutional democratic republic with a theocratic-based fascist government based on the humanity- and American-hating doctrine of their Old Testament God. And, if not for America’s secular rule of law, they would behave exactly like their radical Islamic cousins. Both groups believe—and have the historical pedigrees to prove—in conversion through genocide and see no inconsistency in murdering, raping, torturing, barbecuing, and hacking-off body parts as a means to spread their spiritual messages of unconditional love and goodness. ==== edit -- • Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson said that God attacked us on 9/11 because he was mad at America. • Bin-Laden said that God that attacked us on 9/11 because he was mad at America. ----------------------------------- • Bin-Laden claims that God spoke to him and told him to smite America. • Bush claims that God spoke to him and told him to smite Iraq. ----------------------------------- • Christian fundamentalists believe Bush is God’s instrument and that he is doing God’s work. • Islamic fundamentalists believe Bin-Laden is God’s instrument and that he is doing God’s work. ----------------------------------- • Bush sends others to do the killing (and to be killed). • Bin-laden sends others to do the killing (and to be killed). ----------------------------------- Today Christians ... stand at the head of [this country]... I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity .. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit ... We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press - in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past ...
