What you are selling is called iPod Video (5th Generation), it has the classic looks and comes in 30GB or 60GB version, black or white. Which one do you have? I have a white one, 30GB, although I got an iPod Classic (80GB) for Christmas and have been using that one since.
I can only agree that eBay would probably be the best place for selling it. Does "brand new" in this case mean the box is still sealed or has the box been open? Does the iPod still have the protection film on the display and the touchpad? Has it ever been used, even just to test it works fine? That is the type of information you should definitely include in the description if you list it on eBay.
Do not forget to post authentic pictures to support your description, if the box is still sealed, post a photo of the actual box, do not take the iPod outside the box. Also, should you not have solid feedback score on eBay, I would rather ask a seller with good feedback to sell it for me - they would have enough experience to make the description appealing and would bring you probably better selling price. In my opinion, suggesting a "Buy It Now" price and a "Best Offer" possibility in the listing would be the best way to sell it.
Hope this helps.

EBay or Craigslist. If you're going with eBay though, start the bidding a little low but give it time so it can get higher. If you do Craigslist, then you'll have to make the price slightly lower than it was when new. The new iPods are out now as well, and with 80gb being at $250, you're going to have to give whoever buys it on either site a good deal, or they won't want it. Good luck.

Well, you could just have a garage sale on all your items. Besides, it will be a great chance too to sell all your old items away. Then spread the word from the newspapers until the internet ads. And if you displayed your iPod player there, many people will come to your place and buy it!!! Don't you know that iPod is the most famous music player ever. And if you want the phone, do it NOW!

Pictures for proof, as long as it's sealed and/or visibly undamaged, ebay buyers will realize it's brand new. You will receive highest price there. No worries.
If it's brand new im guessing 170 ish or less.
no less than 100.

I agree, eBay is the best place to sell it. My advice is to take good pictures of it, to include the back, the area that is prone to scratches and blemishes. Post a good description and let the bidding begin. Be sure to include the original packaging and accessories if you still have it.

use ebay but be sure to include very good pics because if you have pictures that you got off of the internet people will more than likely not bid because they want to see what condition it is in. hope you get your money back! (:

the thing with buying a i-pod online is you have no warranty (but thats if your buying) so deffinatly eBay..maybe amazon but that stuff normally doenst cost much.
