Why do ppl belive in the Trinity?

The bible does not even mentions the word Trinity not even once. When Jesus was baptized God said "This is my son......" clearly stating that Jesus is his son and they are not the same person. Jesus various times has said that all of our glory should go to the Father. The holy spirit is not a person is his active force-in other words is what he used to creat the world. It is soooo clear in the Bible so why do ppl still believe int that?

Because people have a veiled pulled over there eyes and are unable to see the truth. They have been taught lies at their church. Trinity is false, anyone who has reads the bible for themselves, and then researches the trinity knows it is a false teaching.

Actually, it is VERY clear in the Bible that there is a trinity. Sure, the actual word 'trinity' isn't mentioned. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist! The Bible doesn't mention 'grandfather', but, there are still grandfathers in the Bible! Here are some verses that prove there is the trinity: Genesis 1:26, "Let us make..." Genesis 11:7 "Go, let us go down..." Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Also, 1 Corinithians 13:14. Also, the Bible tells us that The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all God: John 6:27 (The Father is God), Hebrews 1:8 and 1 John 5:20 (The Son is God), and Acts 5:3-4 (The Holy Spirit is God). So, while there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 and 1 Corinthians 8:4), there are three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. To believed in the trinity you need a bit more conviction as well your own doctrine and the reasoning of your own senses to believed and learn to know that the trinity is and exist. HIM(God), is a trinity by HIM self, Being Sublime, Divine, and Omnipotent, is the trinity of God, the first and most higher trinity of all, God gave a Trinity to the living world, and the same trinity to rule the invisible world or the world of the spirits, This trinity proclaims and promote the becoming of his Son Jesus into his own Godliness, with the help of the Father and of the holly Spirit, The Father, the Son and the Holly Spirit is the trinity use by Jesus do desires of the Father for Jesus to become our Lord and only God. The trinity of men, is mind, Body ad spirit, the trinity of creation is, men, human and Intelligence. I believed in the first Trinity and its my conviction that God is Sublime, Divine and Omnipotent. and that conviction giving me understanding, which has allow me to become religious, and believe in the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, which is what promotes Christianity, and not the other way around.

Well, Father God told me personally that I can say... God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit is One Creator God. So? God the Father told me that our Creator God is a Trinity. But there are many gods. Even Godly Angels are considered gods. Even human Godly Judges are considered gods. Even ungodly spirits, angels & critical condemning judges, idols, etc... are considered gods. It is written that we aren't to have any other gods before our Savior Lord God. Our Savior Lord God is who delivered us from our sins & gave us eternal life. I believe the anointing, the Spirit of Truth that God filled me with above what other people say or other doctrines say. I love hearing the Word preached, but really consider correct what the Holy Spirit confirms in my spiritual soul is true. When I went through a horrible breakdown, it was the anointing the Spirit of Truth who healed me from the multiple deceptions of this breakdown. So? I only want the Truth. Because the Truth sets us free!

You are correct in that they are not the same person. The trinity doctrine does not say they are the same person though. The Bible says there is one God. Jesus showed himself to be God and yet spoke to God as you pointed out. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Mormons and Witnesses look to be crawling all over this question. I think the questioner is also LDS by the sounds of the question, The Trinity is the one Biblical doctrine they (the cults) love to hate. But as I said it is Biblical.. Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: The Lord (YHWH often translated Jehovah) our God (Elohim) is one Lord (YHWH).. Jesus Commanded us to be perfect like the Father Matthew 5:48.. Jesus is called God in John 1:1 and refers to Himself as I AM and except worship as the Apostles recognize Him as their Lord and their God.. In Acts Peter talking to Ananias, with Sapphira said that the lied not to men but to God the Holy Spirit.. Three different Beings all called God yet the Bible still insists "The LORD our God is one LORD".. The only way to make it work without the contradiction the cults want to plant in the scripture is the doctrine of the Trinity.. It is sad that most of the cultist believe that this doctrine says that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one Person, WRONG, THREE PERSONS ONE GOD!!.. To bad they attack a doctrine that they know nothing about and therefore can't understand.. IHS Jim

Where inside the covers of the 66 books of the Holy Bible do we see the word "bible"? We don't see it other than on the outer cover and as we open the Bible... no where in the 66 books that compile the Holy Word of God... do we see the word Bible. Triune means Trinity... Godhead.. is ONE God three actions. Humans are a trinity... mind, soul, and body... remove one and you have no human. God the Creator, Son, Spirit... remove one.. you have no God.

The bible doesn't mention p-ss either. Oh wait a minute, yes it does: "But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? [hath he] not [sent me] to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? " [Isaiah 36:13 KJV] You could say that the bible doesn't mention sh-t either, but there it is in the same passage -- "eat their own dung" How abou f--k? What do you tink all those "begats" mean? Just because a word isn't used in the bible, doesn't mean that the IDEA is not there. And the Idea of the trinity is right there, even from the first verse of the first chapter of the first book: "In the beginning, God . . ." [Genesis 1:1] Now, in ancient Hebrew the word "elohim" [God] is PLURAL! So Genesis 1:1 COULD be translated to mean "In the beginning God the Father, God The Son, and The Holy Spirit . . ." But it DOES take someone with the ability and intelligence to actually study the bible to discern all these little clues. Those that do not take the time to read and study will remain totally lost, literally and spiritually.

Only Jesus Can Save You
The word Trinity was mentioned in the original scriptures. But in the Latin and Greek word for Trinity. Latin word: "Trinitas" means "The Number Three", a Triad, an abstract noun formed from the adjective "Trinus", that means "Three each", "Threefold", "Triple" The word "unus" means "One" The Greek term is "Tpiac" meaning "Trias, Triados", which means "A set of three", or the "Number three" The New World Dictionary: Trinity <Latin trinus, triple> 1, a set of three Jesus told the Apostles to go in all the nations and baptize in the name of "The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit" That is the Trinity...a set of three. Matthew 12: 31,32 Jesus speaking "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men,but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven" "And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him, but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or the age to come." So, be very careful about what you speak of in denying the Holy Spirit. ( One of The Trinity) Jesus told the Apostles "You have seen me, you have seen the Father"

You will get vague and contradictory answers from those who believe in the Trinity. Their "proof texts" that they blindly parrot are few and predictable. They can all be disproved using context, parallel, texts, and by comparing translations. This is what happens when people believe blindly. Their faith is actually credulity based on ignorance. You are correct. The Bible, in the original Hebrew and Greek does not provide ANY support for the Trinity lie.
