I am really short with a large chest - could something be wrong with me?

I am five feet tall, have DD breasts and I am merely thirteen years old, going on fourteen. It has been like this since I was eleven, and I've always been teased about how awkward I look. And no, I am not overweight. Just average. My family does not have a history of these sort of things, and yes, my parents are who I think they are, thank you. I know this is rather unusual, so I was wondering if something could be wrong with me? Or is it just what I was given, come my birth? Please take me seriously here, for I'm honestly worried/curious about this. Thank you. xo

there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, every person and every body is created diffentley. Don't be ashamed about your body. I know it is difficult while your young and in school but trust me that once your graduated your whole life out look will change. Always remember too that the girls that tease you are the ones that want what you have and they never will, and the boys that tease you are really just interested in you because of your maturing look. Hold your head up and accept what you have and remember that down the road if God gave you too much the plastic surgeon can take it away.

Well, honey when I was 13 I was a 36C and I was 5'4" or 5'5" tall (I can't really remember all that well since it's been so long ago...LOL). You are only 13 and could you still grow height-wise. I am now 5'7 3/4" (I'm 29) and I didn't gain that extra 1 3/4" until I was 19 or 20 years old (btw, I'm now a 38/40 DD). There may have been someone in your family in the past that was well endowed and you just happened to get that gene, but you may also grow some more, which could balance you out (say you end up 5'10"?? And don't let anyone tell you that you can't continue to grow cause my mom was 5'1" when she was 13 and was 5'9 3/4" when she was 20). When you get older, you could have a reduction, but it can affect your ability to breastfeed if that is what you plan on doing when you have kids. I wish you luck, sweetie. Yeah, it can be embarrassing and a pain now, but trust me - when you get to be older they can be a REAL asset...;)

I know exactly how you feel because when i was your age, i was about the same height (5'1) and the same chest size. i grew up very self conscious because of all the (negative) attention i got from jealous girls and sex-crazed boys. it wasn't until i got into my 20s that i learned to love what God gave me. I am now in my mid 30s. I thought about reduction about 4 years ago (only because childbirth & gravity have taken their toll), but I decided not to go through with it because of the scarring. So, i know it's hard for you at 13, but from someone who has gone through what you're going through, my advice is to just stay strong and don't let it bring your self esteem down. Learn to love who you are, just the way you are. You are not defined by your bra size, your pants size, or anything like that. Nothing is wrong with you.

Nothing is "wrong" with you. Stop looking at family as breast size is NOT about genetics (my family past and present were all B's and C's and I ended up a J cup). I was very large as well as a kid, and ended up getting a breast reduction covered by insurance Feb 2006
