I just bought a 1967 olds 88 delmont 2-door, The floor is rusted out .?

I was quoted $7k to replace the whole floor and take care of all surface rust and new paint job. Is it worth that. I bought the car for $2500.00 and the drivetrain (425) ac, brakes are in great shape. Help

If you're not handy, you may consider having new floor PANS installed. $7K being too expensive is absolutely relative to the amount of work needed, which no on this site can guess. Many times, I've had to just make my dream car only as nice as I COULD AFFORD to, pleasing only me. If you have a vocational school nearby (even 50 miles nearby), they generally like cars like yours to learn their welding and sheet metal, Bodywork, etc. trade skills. This can be from cheap to FREE. Just a thought. Good luck

Yes, that is a reasonable price if it is done by a professional shop that is going to give you a professional job, Now onto the car, that is a nice score, those 425's are screamers and relatively bullet proof, Do you have the switch pitch turbo 400 tranny...? Those are really sharp cars and ive always had my eyes open for one
