I need help in finding a a car suitable for a woman with a £1000 budget????

Im looking for a small reliable car ( arent we all ) i have a reasonable budget and am looking for low maintenance costs good mpg low tax and insurance but i have no idea about cars other than the colour would be very grateful with some help kind regards .

with that budget you won't find any reliable cars of ones that don't need a major overhaul. wait till you have at least £1500 and if you have £2000 you choices are much better.
