Did the Bush administration lie to us before the war?

A secret that has been judiciously kept for five years just spilled out. All of what follows is new, never reported in any way: The Iraq Intelligence Chief, Tahir Jalil Habbush -- a man still carrying a $1 million reward for capture, the Jack of Diamonds in Bush's famous deck of wanted men -- has been America's secret source on Iraq. Starting in January of 2003, with Blair and Bush watching, his secret reports began to flow to officials on both sides of the Atlantic, saying that there were no WMD and that Hussein was acting so odd because of fear that the Iranians would find out he was a toothless tiger. The U.S. deep-sixed the intelligence report in February, "resettled" Habbush to a safe house in Jordan during the invasion and then paid him $5 million in what could only be considered hush money. In the fall of 2003, after the world learned there were no WMD -- as Habbush had foretold -- the White House ordered the CIA to carry out a deception. The mission: create a handwritten letter, dated July, 2001, from Habbush to Saddam saying that Atta trained in Iraq before the attacks and the Saddam was buying yellow cake for Niger with help from a "small team from the al Qaeda organization." The mission was carried out, the letter was created, popped up in Baghdad, and roiled the global newcycles in December, 2003 (conning even venerable journalists like Tom Brokaw). The mission is a statutory violation of the charter of the CIA, and amendments added in 1991, prohibiting the CIA from conducting disinformation campaigns on U.S. soil.

Yes they did lie to us to get this war. The corporate owned US media never reported on much of the lies of the Bush Administration.

Sorry. President Clinton signed into law the order to remove Saddam from power. If anyone lied, it was he The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-338) (codified in a note to 22 USCS ยง 2151) is a United States Congressional statement of policy calling for regime change in Iraq; it was signed into law by President Bill Clinton.

Oh Yes! Evil Bush and Cheney thought there were way too many American soldiers in the military and just needed to find a way to kill some of them off.....so why not start a war? Yeah, that's what happened. And they did it to steal oil, too. That's why we are having such a nice time with gas prices today....because they stole all that oil. Yeah, war for oil!!!.... Wait. That doesn't make any sense. Kind of like this question.

No, Bush didn't lie about Iraq. What rock have you been living under? Didn't you hear about the uranium that was recently shipped from Iraq to Canada? Your profile says you sing in church choirs. You should know better than to slander the people who protect your freedom.

It's an interesting story, but I don't think we'll get the true answers until the current administration is out of the White House. It's obvious at this point that it was shady, but since no one's been able to prove the origin of the mysterious letter...it's all conjecture.

These are all just opinions. There are no facts or proof to back any of this up. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. We were never purposefully mislead by anybody in the Bush administration. Nobody has ever brought forth one single solitary shred of evidence that PROVES otherwise.

usa is in an unenviable place now. there is not any u.s.. What usa says would desire to grow to be the regulation of the international. yet regrettably, the government isn't thinking previous Texas and Oil agencies.

You have bought into the Bash-Bush that the media has played for the last six years. People with a lot more resources than you have been trying to bring him down, but there is nothing there. You should stop wasting your time on this silly conspiracy theory.
