I am looking for an inexpensive pet that eats goldfish. What do you recommend?

And how do you take care of them? Thanks.

I would stay away from turtles, lots of cleaning. How big of a tank do you have, Freshwater or salt and what is inexpensive to you? I would go with an Oscar, they get about a foot long,,, fast!! you could get one from Walmart for like $6. Or saltwater there are tons of preditory fish that will destroy feeder goldfish. Lionfish, pretty much any eel, ect.

Nothing should eat Goldfish. Goldfish are the McDonald's cheeseburgers of feeder fish, offer no nutrition and if fed as the sole food can cause a fatal vitamin B1 deficiency. http://www.theaquariumwiki.com/Thiaminase

get an african rope fish! they're beast, they look cool and they'll eat any fish smaller than its mouth (goldfish will work fine) you pretty much take care of it by having a decently clean tank and feeding it stuff like feeder goldfish. they will get along with larger fish so dont assume that it needs its own tank. and remember kids, when you assume, you make an a.ss(out of) u (and)me! way to spell lol :)

alley cats. they are free if you can sweet talk them into your house. Easy to take care of; feed 'em gold fish and give 'em a pile of sand.
