Could be a virus, like herpes, so keep your fingers out of your mouth. Other ulcers have unknown causes and usually take 7-10 days to go away. Did you recently change toothpaste, or mouthwash? Sensitivity to certain ingredients can cause mouth sores. Allergies are another cause. If they don't go away, or get worse and more appear, see your dentist.
