Or can you only use cash or debit?

The whole idea of a money order, cashier's check, or other certified funds is that the cash has been paid and there is no risk involved with the document. So no. Sorry.

The Post Office will only except cash or debit card. Credit cards charge 2-3% transaction fees, so they would be selling cash at a discount. I suppose someone might allow you to charge to a credit card if you paid them an extra 2-3%.

Sure! You can pay with just about any thing, even Western Union. I paid all my cards with a money order.

I know in Tennessee and Georgia its a state requirement that you have to pay with cash or debit. I would assume its like that everywhere else also.
