What should i name this dog? ( picture )?

This is his description: Hi there, I'm George, a handsome Australian cattle dog. This is the third time I have been at the shelter. The first time I wandered from home my owners waited almost a week before picking me up - their way of punishing me, I guess. This time for reasons I do not understand they decided they no longer wanted to keep me. Apparently I didn't fit into their busy schedules. I enjoy being with people and would really love to share a special bond with someone who cares about me.. I travel well in the car and enjoy my daily walks. The shelter volunteers and others who know me can't believe that someone would abandon me like this as they love my easy going personality and laid back attitude to life. Please drop by and see me. As a volunteer who walks the dogs regularly I have got to know George pretty well over the past few weeks. He really is a special dog. It would appear that he wasn't given much affection from his previous owners as he seemed surprised when I petted him for the first time. However, now when we go out he is genuinely happy and seems to walk with a bounce in his step as if he knows that someone cares about him. The shelter is presently full to capacity and George has been there longer than most. Although I think he looks like an irresistible teddy bear, he may not catch people's attention when they visit the shelter as he does not bark but just sits quietly waiting to see what will happen next. I really hope he finds a good home soon where he is not simply left alone day after day but has a chance to interact with people and enjoy life. We don't really like the name George.

Kynuna - Austalian Blue Heeler country - Home of the famous (infamous) Blue Heeler pub. Kynuna is a tiny tiny town in outback Queensland on the "highway" between Cloncurry and Longreach (home of QANTAS). It is literally in the middle of nowhere, is very very hot in Summer. It has a handful of houses - mostly Government shacks and is in grazing country. Cloncurry, Hughenden, Richmond, Cloncurry (the Curry as it is known - hottest town in Australia), Isisford, Longreach, Winton - where Waltzing Matilda was written by Banjo Patterson, are all towns in outback Queensland. Years ago I had a Borde Collie named Banjo. I loved that name. A classic Aussie name is also Bindi (a type of prickle). Other cattle places - Mt Isa (the Isa - also a mining town), Karumba, Burketown, Borroloola (in the Northern Territory), Wollogorang (a cattle station on the NT/Qld border), Normanton. Also try this website which gives aboriginal words which could be used for names. http://lowchensaustralia.com/names/aborn...

So, you've adopted him? That's great! Not sure how long he's been with you, but why not call him George for a while, let him settle in, and get to know him - it sounds as if he's been overlooked for too long. Maybe with some real one-on-one attention, he would tell you what name he would like - one that fits him. It seems only right, after all he's been through.
