i have to do a problem for statistics and i get 2.44140635E-4 on my calculator. What does that mean?

E-4 means that the number given is multiplied by ten to the -4 power.
0.000244140635 is what it's saying, but the calculator can't fit that number, so it condenses it.

E-4 is the same as 10^-4
so just move the decimal place 4 places to the left.
