Life is not black or white my friend. There are many shades of grey. I think we have seen what unregulated capitalism is capable of. Capitalism has no morals, so if we want to have a respectable country, capitalism cannot be god. There is a role for regulation and government, otherwise we might as well just go back to the days of the wild, wild west. I assume you are proud that we live in a civilized country that is not solely based on capitalism alone, right? Where do you get the idea that liberals want to get rid of capitalism? I think the idea is that many of us think it is embarrassing that, for many Americans, money and self interest are more important than ethics and doing the right thing. We have to create laws because if doing the right thing isn't profitable, there are many people who would do horrible things. But you know this already, right? You see what happened on wall street?? You see what insurance companies do to some people? People will not do the right thing if it is not profitable. Capitalism must be monitored.

No i do not agree with you but i have noticed in the past eight years we have become more of a socialist country (patriot act) (bailout) just to name those two it just has seemed to me under a republican administration that we have had more of our rights trampled on our voices meaning nothing. I don't believe there should be another solution to capitalism but to restrict the rich and the corporations that affect this country everyday. Look at it this way in a sense big corporations have a certain line of power because unlike an average american they have more money they have jobs for these americans so in a sense they have power and when does that power get to be to much? When tax payers have to bail them out? so where is the capitalism there. why should these big corporations effect me what is so american about it how is it a company i never heard of suppose to affect my everyday life. I study economics and i know why but if it should affect an everyday average joe like me then there should be some kind of oversight so the american tax payer does not have to bailout big corporations again.

Chupate esa!
We have a mix system to imply that capitalism is the solution to every problem is to say that the only thing that has value is money. There are many other things that have more value than money and those should be shared socially. Like education, health, security and so on.

It is a good solution to some things. Everything?, no.
Public schools, fire departments, police, and many other services are better off outside of the capitalist market.
Have you ever considered that pure capitalism is too extreme to survive as well? I hate to say it, but it is true.

Liberals (insult intended) don't like it when smart, hardworking people make more than they do. They love unions, which reward slugs and stars equally. It's one of the problems with education. Their world is a theoretical one where free thinking is not encouraged because there is no reason to do so. When have you ever seen or heard a liberal admit what their true agenda is?
