This is the first case I have heard of since my Boxer had this. I hate to hear this so bad. I wish I knew how old your Boxer is. My Boxer was eight years old and had the same thing. The stupid vet, and I do mean STUPID VET, ran tests and kept her for a week. She did not show any signs of improvement. The vet went out of town and one day the girls at the vet called me and told me she was getting worse. I had them transfer her to another vet who happened to be the son in law of the original vet. He called me and said that he had run some tests and she was slipping fast. I had them euthanize her and they did a necropsy on her. They found a tumor the size of a football inside her. The first vet charged me over $1000 andi still lost my dog. The vet who was the son in law, never charged me a dime, for anything he did. This was my experience. I hope your has a happier outcome. Could you please let me know about this? Really, I would like to know how this pans out. Source(s): Lifelong dog owner and breeder Horse owner and breeder

Could this be Hyperkeratosis?. Look this up on the Internet and see if the symptoms match.Older dogs can get this on their feet or the wings of the nose. It is autoimmune related,I am told that it is not painful and an operation will not resolve this. You can buy dog boots at pet shops and this may help.

there is something he is allergic to that he is walking on, like carpet cleaner or pesticides in the grass. Try neosporin and baby socks for a while but definitely let the paws breath. also be sure your boxer is not chewing on his feet....I am no vet. it seems to be a serious problem if you have no money try the Humane society...Good Luck !!!
