Does the jelly sleeve really help on the Wii Fit?

1) Does the jelli sleeve really make a diffrence on the Wii Fit? Like does it help in balancing, foot comfort, etc? 2) Is the Wii Fit yoga mat any diffrent than any other regular yoga mat you can purchase at Walmart? Like does it have special sensors in it? Or is it just a cushioned pad?

I can't comment on the first question, I was wondering the same myself... But I don't think so, I think it is purely protection for the board. But the official Wii Fit mat is just that, a mat! Nothing special about it, except it matches the colour theme of Wii Fit!
