Draw square. (Make sure the following sides are included) Left side Right side Up side Down side In side Out side Therefore all in all 6 sides but you made a square.

There is no such thing. by definition, a SQUARE has for equakl-lengthed sides and four 90-degree corners. There are other polygon (many-sided figures). A PENTAGON has 5 sides, and looks like the famous Pentagon Building in Washington DC (or a baseball home plate). A SEPTAGON has 6 sides, and looks like a honeycomb cell. An OCTAGON has 8 sides, and looks like a stop sign. There are other 4-sided figures that are not squares. For example, a rectanlge has 4 sides, but the sides do not have to all be of equal lenght. It also has four 90-degree angles. A TRAPEZOID has four side, and two OBTUSE angles and two ACUTE angles, but only two sides are equal length A PARALLELOGRAM has 4 sides, two OBTUSE angles and two ACUTE angles, but opposite sides are equal length.

Depending on your teacher's sense of humor - draw a square and label the four straight lines as A, B, C, & D then label the outside as E and the inside as F - six sides. If you have had a square defined as an area with 4 edges, then technically it doesn't have an inside (like a box or fenced pasture) but it still has an outside.

The definition of "square" in geometry is "a four sided figure, with all four sides of equal length, and all four interior angles equal." So you can't have a square with more than 4 sides. There must be some other details or words in your assignment. In 3-D, the analog of a square is the cube, with 6 sides.

If it does not have four sides it is not a square. Do you mean some other polygon like maybe an octagon that has 8 sides? That would look like a stop sign.

I agree with everybody else, the definition of a square does not allow you to have more than 4 sides. Greetx TKM

By definition, a square is a figure with four equal sides -- nothing more, nothing less -- so I do not know if you can make this project feasible,

A cube has four square sides, but it is not a square, it's a cube.
