Is communism still practiced by countries today?

Nobody uses true communism now days. They either use a relaxed (small amount of free market is allowed) communism AKA China OR they are dictatorships that call themself communist for no reason AKA North Korea/Cuba/Vietnam.

No country in the world truly practices Communism. All the countries that have ever used communism have used "Authoritarianism Communism". It's like saying Hitler was a socialist (he was an Authoritarianism Socialist). Pure Communism is known as Libertarianism Communism, which provides the people with more social freedoms. China, North Korea and the Soviet Union are, and never have been true communist states.
