I am a gymnast as well and for a while I had bad wrists. I couldn't function with out them and they really helped me. Get the bear paws. You can use them in practice and in competitions. Basically they are helping your wrists. DON'T forget to strengthen your wrists with hand weights a little every night. Do some wrist curls. I did this and eventually my wrists got stronger and now I don't need them.

You shouldnt be wearing them unless you actually need them, like a doctor told you that you do. And you shouldnt wear them alot at practice you can but if you wear them all the time then they wont give your wrist support anymore

only if you really need them.. use them only when your wrists hurt. You can become dependent on them and that can become a problem. If you think you need them i recogmend Tiger paws. they are specificly made for gymnastics. you can order them online at gkelite.com or ten-o.com. good luck!!

i wear them when im practicing my tumbling on floor, because it really pounds on your wrists.

I wouldnt they make me slip but maybe try them on they take alot of getting used to. i just would stick with tape.especially if you cant use them cause you might depend on them too much.
good luck(:
