He invented hundreds of words that we use today. His plays inspired a countless number of movies, books, songs, TV shows, other plays, etc.
Here are some fun facts:
- When he died, he left his wife his "second-best bed" in his will.
- He has no direct descendants - all of his grandchildren died without heirs. So anyone who tries to tell you that they are a great-great-great-grandchild of Shakespeare is lying to you.
- Some people think that Shakespeare didn't really write the plays that bear his name. They suggest other playwrights and nobility, including Queen Elizabeth I, as the real authors. This is called "the authorship question," and it's a bone of contention among some scholars.

He has (allegedly) invented many words and words that we use in the present day. some words he invented are eyeball, puke, champion and a few words which includes 'all's nicely that ends nicely', 'combat hearth with hearth', and so on.
