-1/2x - 7 = 11 (+7)
-1/2x = 18 (swap the minus to the other side of the equation)
1/2x = -18 (multiply by 2)
x = -36
5 - 3c = 14 (+3c)
5 = 14 + 3c (- 14)
-9 = 3c (divide by 3)
c = -3
-6 = 4 - 2x (+2x)
-6 + 2x = 4 (+6)
2x = 10 (divide by 2)
x = 5
8 - k = 17 (+ k)
8= 17 + k (-17)
k = -9
12 = 6 - x (+ x)
12 + x = 6 (-12)
x = -6
5w - 8w = -12 (simplify)
-3w = -12 (signs can cancel each other out)
3w = 12 (divide by 3)
w = 4
y + 5y + 11 = 35 (simplify)
6y + 11 = 35 (- 11)
6y = 24 (divide by 6)
y = 4
21 = 9a - 15 - 3a (simplify)
21 = 6a - 15 (+15)
36 = 6a (divide by 6)
a = 6
8x + 5 - x = -2 (simplify)
7x + 5 = -2 (-5)
7x = -7 (divide by 7)
x = -1
-n + 9 - 2n - 1 = 13 (simplify)
-3n + 8 = 13 (-8)
-3n = 5 (swap the minus to the other side)
3n = -5 (divide by 3)
n = -1 and two thirds
Tada!

Ok first of all I am just going to explain how to solve them in general, and then I'll do all of the problems for you.
To solve an equation that has a variable, you MUST get the variable on one side by itself. Usually this happens by adding and subtracting, and then dividing. That is the first rule: get the variable on one side by itself.
So, on the first problem:
-1/2x - 7 = 11
your going to want to put that - 7 on the right side. So you add seven to the left side. BUT, when you do something to one side, you have to do it to the other. ALWAYS. So you add seven to the right side and you get:
-1/2x = 18
Then you have to divide by -1/2 on both sides. That's the same as multiplying by -2. So you multiply both sides by -2 and get:
x = -36.
all the other problems are the same but I will work a few more out for you.
5 -3c = 14
Subtract 5 from both sides:
-3c = 9
Divide by -3:
c = -3.
-6 = 4 - 2x
Subtract 4 from both sides:
-10 = -2x
Divide both sides by -2:
5 = x
which is the same as
x = 5.
Hope that helps!

I love math! Here's the work but its hard to get it right without doing it by hand:
-1/2x -7=11 add 7 to both sides to cancel it out on the left.
-1/2x -7 +7 = 11+7 It becomes...
-1/2x = 18 Divide both sides by -1/2 to get
x = -9
Simply follow the order of adding the opposite sign either (-) or (+) in order to get rid of the integer (which is -7 here) on the side with the variable (-1/2x). After you have isolated the variable, meaning the side with the x is alone, divide by the number in front of the variable (in this case -1/2) to BOTH sides. Because you're dividing it by the number in front of the x, it will become x = n(f) (n is 11 in this case) (f is the # that was in front of x) Good luck!

-1/2x -7 =11
-1/2x = 18
-x = 9
x = -9
5-3c = 14
5= 3c+14
-9 = 3c
c = -3
-6=4-2x
-10 = -2x
5 = x
8-k = 17
-k = 9
k = -9
12=6-x
x+12=6
x=-6
5w-8w = -12
-3w = -12
w = 4
y+5y+11 =35
6y+11 = 35
6y=24
y = 4
21 = 9a -15 -3a
21 = 6a - 15
36 = 6a
a = 6
8x + 5 -x =-2
7x +5 = -2
7x = -7
x = -1
-n+9-2n-1 = 13
n+9-1 =13
n+8 = 13
n = 5

Make it a superb Triangle. you will possibly use 5 balls on the hypotenuse, 3 extra to make the longest leg, and the relax 2 make up the shorter leg. The question does not say something approximately colorations, so do no longer situation approximately that. It does, even if say TRIANGULAR physique, so the guy who created that diagram is in basic terms a splash of off.
