what is that one game?

i was just pondering to myself about a game used to play on the pc. i cant remember the name but i have a very good description on it. you start off with like a dozen tiny purple monsters on an island. then you have to go around the island completing levels. and in the beginning you can customize these little creatures. can someone tell me the name of the game please!!!!
