A p0300 is a misfire detected code. One of the cylinders is misfiring dumping fuel into the cylinder. It could be a fuel injector, spark plug, ignition coil, plug wire, could even be a valve in the head. I would start with new plugs as they are the cheapest. I have replaced several fuel injectors in these cars for this problem but I would start with the plugs. I really recommend taking it to a repair shop though because you could spend alot of money just buying parts for it.

Plugs, wires, one coil pack, both coil packs, ignition module, crank sensor, leaky injector, really screwy o2 sensor ... etc etc. The only way to know is to scan with a proper scanner. A random misfire can be caused by ... well random things! A big vacuum leak... I could go on. You've probably also done some damage to the catalytic convertor at this point.
