Medical dog question?
While my son was giving the dog a bath, our dog was struggling while my son was holding onto her arm, then eventually she let out a cry of pain. Now every time we try to pick her up around the right arm, she cries. We've given her some pain killers via peanut butter. Should I be concerned after this? And did I take the right steps?

If you gave her Ibuprofen or Tylenol I strongly suggest rushing her to a emergency vet clinic. They may be able to save her from the poisoning from the painkiller.... both of those will KILL a dog.

You have to prove the dog is needed for medical purposes and not just a way of going about getting a dog to get a dog, you can and will be evicted. However, according to the ADA if you require a "service dog" to assist you in your everyday life then the "service dog" is not considered a "pet" and does not have to comply with the "no dogs allowed" rule, your LL cannot turn down a service dog just like he couldn't turn you down if you were in a wheelchair. Now you'd still have to get permission and tell the landlord the dog is required for medical reasons since it's after the fact and when you moved in there was not a dog with you, there's a chance this will not fly.

No, you didn't. You never, ever give a dog human meds of any kind. You only give pain killers prescribed by a vet and in the correct dosage after an injury has been correctly diagnosed. You don't even know what's wrong with your dog. Nor do you know if whatever you gave her is safe for dogs. What your dog needs is the vet.

Well Your son could've accidently moved the arm the wrong way and broke it.

If you notice any limping. Give it about a day and if he is still limping I would take him to the Vet. He may have just pulled a muscle from trying to escape and it could be very tender under that arm.
